The Goodie Green Shake (with banana, pineapple, greens, and more!)

Let’s wake up with a tasty, healthy, no-added-sugar, good-for-you shake this morning!  I just threw this together for my family and got rave reviews from all. It’s quick to make and tastes great — all things we love in a recipe.

Don’t let this color fool you.   This is delicious!

Let’s make some juice!

Important stuff first, of course.  This yields four servings and takes about five minutes to prepare.  Easy-peasy!

I used:

1 cup greens (kale, spinach, chard – whatever you have)

1 banana

1 cup frozen mango (fresh is great, too!)

1 cup frozen pineapple

2 Culturelle capsules (or other probiotic of your choice)

2 tablespoons chia seeds

3 cups walnut/almond/soy/pecan, whatever-you-want-to-use milk

(I prefer to make my own nut milk to avoid all the preservatives in store-bought, and will try to measure out what I’m doing and post the recipe in the future.  When I do, I will link it here, right in the recipe.)

A fresh orange for garnish (optional)

Of course, you will need a blender!  (I hope to get this one, one day as we juice a lot and my old Oster is getting tired!)

Throw ingredients into your blender, open up your probiotic capsules and pour the powder in with all of your ingredients, and blend, baby, blend!  Pour it in a glass and pop a slice of fresh orange over the side and you’re looking like a kitchen boss!

Drink to your health!

*Do you have popsicle molds? I bet these would freeze up into some tasty popsicles, too!
